My name is Woo

I was born in Seoul and grew up collecting postage stamps, drawing trees, and finding joy in completing things. Whether it was finishing a puzzle or covering every inch of a blank canvas, I rarely stopped until the last piece fell into place. Looking back, that persistence, curiosity, and obsession with connecting details into a bigger picture shaped the way I see the world today—as a designer, creative leader, and builder of brands, experiences, and ideas.

For more than two decades, I have worked across North America and Asia, helping organizations build brands, products, and experiences that connect people in meaningful ways. Along the journey, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with global consultancies and in-house teams including Landor, Interbrand, Samsung, Logitech, Lyft, LINE, Hyundai Motor Group, and Johnson & Johnson.

My work sits at the intersection of brand strategy, customer experience, content, culture, and design systems. Whether launching a financial platform, building a multilingual communication system, transforming a global brand, or creating a premium membership ecosystem, I am most interested in how ideas scale into experiences that people genuinely value.

Today, I lead multidisciplinary creative teams spanning brand, content, motion, spatial, and digital experiences. I enjoy bringing together diverse perspectives, aligning teams around a shared vision, and transforming complexity into simple, meaningful experiences.

I believe great design emerges through meaningful collaboration, open dialogue, and a shared commitment to clarity. More than creating beautiful outputs, I am interested in uncovering the core idea, refining the details that matter, and building experiences that communicate with purpose. Often, the most meaningful differentiation comes not from what is immediately visible, but from the thoughtful details that people remember.

Outside of work, I enjoy watching basketball and tennis, exploring local dessert shops with my wife and daughter, and staying curious about culture, technology, and the evolving role of design in our everyday lives.
